2022 backyard grow

Welcome to our backyard flower farm’s blog, where we’ll take you on a journey through last year’s growing season and share our plans for the upcoming 2023 season.

The 2022 growing season was a beautiful one, filled with a variety of blooms that added elegance, warmth, and romance to our space. We grew a mixed variety of Zinnias, including the majestic Benary’s Giant and charming Persian Carpet. Strawflowers, with their unique texture and long-lasting blooms, were perfect for creating everlasting memories. In fact, they were traditionally used in the Philippines to make graduation garlands, a symbol of hope and new beginnings.

Our White Yarrow and ‘Summer Berries’ added a classic touch to our bouquets, while the Rudbeckia Marmalade and Rudbeckia Sunset mix created a warm and inviting atmosphere. The Cosmos, with their delicate petals and vibrant colors, were the first flowers to bloom, signaling a season of love and joy.

We also added Apricot Statice to our collection, with its soft and romantic color, making it a perfect filler in our freshly cut bouquets. Fragrant lemon or cinnamon basil added a touch of sensuality and passion, creating a unique aroma for our flowers.

Last year, we grew Love-in-a-Mist, an old-fashioned flower that earned its place in our bouquets. And, of course, no romantic flower farm would be complete without a mixed variety of sunflowers, standing tall and proud, offering a burst of sunshine and love to all who behold them.

For the 2023 growing season, we plan to continue growing our beloved blooms and adding new ones to our collection. We’re excited to announce that we’ll be growing English Lavender, a beautiful and fragrant herb that will complement our flowers perfectly. We’ll also continue growing our signature Yarrow, Lemon Basil, and Cinnamon Basil.

Our goal for the 2023 growing season is to create even more unique and beautiful bouquets that bring joy and love to our community. We’ll continue to grow our flowers with care and attention, ensuring that each bloom is a labor of love. We hope that our flowers will make your space a more beautiful and romantic oasis, just as they do for us.

Thanks a bunch!
